The Banned Nike Commercial

I hadn't seen it until now. I would agree that this commercial probably shouldn't have been shown with kids around. But it did remind me of all those Friday the 13th movies... But where was Jamie Lee?

It didn't bug me too much. In fact, it seemed pretty tame to some of the movie promos my kids and I see.

If was aired early in prime time though, I can understand folks being a bit concerned.<BR>

I can't believe the PC Nazis forced that spot to be pulled from television. Jesus - there are entirely too many g'damn whiners in this country.

I agree that it was cute.

But I do have a 5 yr old and am glad they yanked it. I don't want him afraid to go to the bathroom by himself.

What the hell was wrong w/ this commercial anyway?

That commercial was great. I saw it with children in the room and no one got scared. Too bad the PC policia got a hold of this one. This commercial should have been aired during the SB.

I will echo the sentiments of many others on this board: I thought this was a great commercial that is no worse than many of the movie promo's today. Not to mention your basic cartoon violence (Tom + Jerry type stuff). The main reason it was pulled is because it was a Nike commercial. People like to find fault with the big companies- it is like a hobby to some people- complaining.

The same people that complain are probably at home cursing, drinking and smoking in front of their kids (while watching Friday the 13th.) [img]http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/eek.gif[/img]
