Chiefs never learn!

Well here we are almost through the first day of FA and what do we have to show for it? Nothing! I know what some of you will say, "Hey its only the first day, don't panic or the ever famous THE PLANET IS MELTING DOWN" But the fact is, in the NFL you have to have a plan. The chiefs don't. Any FA that leaves Arrowhead without a contract is GONE we won't have a chance. When is this front office going to learn to decide early who would best help this team and sign them. You think the ravens just decided this morning Mason would be a good fit? No! They picked him out weeks ago and said "thats our guy, we have to sign him no matter what." The chiefs just want to feel every thing out and wait till the dust settles. You know what that gets you, 35 YEARS OF NOTHING! Jesus christ how long do we have to put up with this crap?

I know many here hate references to the Patriots, but let me tell you -- the Patriots NEVER do anything the first few days of free agency. That's for overpaying schmucks like Snyder's Redskins.

Ditto that for the Iggles (although maybe last year they moved quick on Kearse).

The smart teams scoop up guys at a reasonable price, rather than just destroying their cap to be on the front page in March.

The Pats are excellent during the draft. The Chiefs are pretty mediocre.

I heard that the Chiefs have asked Rolle and Trotter to wait until June to make their decision because KC will have more cap room available at that time once Morton is cut.

Don't get upset until you hear that we haven't signed any of them. All 3 of them know we are seriously interested or they wouldn't be here the first day of FA. We are going to spend quality time with the players and make sure we have a feel for the player we want. I'm impatient as hell, but realize this is going to take some time.

This would be great for us but you see WE CAN'T DRAFT LIKE THE PATRIOTS! We have no choice to get players through FA but we better do it quick. The best LB and CB's will be signed by this weekend.
