What a night!

I tell ya everyone, tonight was a lot of fun. meeting some of you who I have bantered with (and even fought with) on this board for over a year was a real treat. And what made it even better was the fact that we all came together for a sole purpose, to honor a true hero. The turn out wasn't as great as everyone had hoped, but as I explained to Adam, things will pick up over time after people realize we are for real and are not going to fizzle out like others before us. Anyway, it was a great night we all had fun and kicked off a wonderful movement. I wish more of you could have attended.

Hader,
can't wait for tomorrows great day!

Looking forward to meeting you as well.

Unfortunately, my annual trip to KC might have taken a serious hit - we returned from vacation yesterday to find that my wife's entire department was eliminated, which is a nice way of saying she was fired. No one was given any notice - just "department's gone, your gone, sorry." Sure would have been nice if the fucking bastards had told us this BEFORE we went on vacation and blew a couple of grand on unnecessary bullsh1t. She's getting a month's severance pay, but with the economy the way it is I have no idea how long it will take her to get another job. So in the meantime, trips to KC (or anywhere else for that matter) are indefinitely postponed. Ain't life a b1tch.

So now it's looking like really late in the season, if at all, before I make it down. Still plan on hooking up with you (and hopefully some others, as well).

D@mn!

That's too bad Tim. I am sorry to hear that. Hopefully she will be able to find a job quicker than you think. Who knows what lies ahead?

Oh yeah, TommyKat was there tonight, and I believe Dartgod was as well, but I never hooked up with him.

I would love to talk some more tonight, but I am tired and I have another big day ahead of me. Just wanted to let evryone know that we all had fun tonight, and that I missed not having any of you there as well.

Hader,
excited but tired

Wanted to go tonight, but had to comfort a friend of my wife's whose father died. Hope everyone had a great time.

Missed getting to hang out with the out of town people I haven't seen in a while, heck for that matter the in town people that I haven't seen for a while.

I would start naming names but I know I would leave many out and I don't wish to offend anyone. It's really a chore trying to place the names(real) to go along with the BB names and the faces (also real). I missed seeing Gaz - would have loved to meet him- but I believe he uses his picture as his avatar anyway.:)

I want to say I have never met a group of friendlier people who came together for a great reason. The entire day and evening was a pleasure - all the way from the moon rising over Bent Oaks  to the sun setting at Arrowhead. The most startling adjustment to my visual image had to be Otter. I obviously was fooled into thinking that was really him in the photo section. When Joe first introduced himself to me all I could think about was "Who is this imposter?".

What a great group of people! We may have dissagreements on this board about football or politics sometimes, but I will always remember you ALL as wonderful friends. God bless, I've got to head for church now. Hope not to miss too much of the game. GO CHIEFS!!!!!! :D

Any of you folks that attended the game have a chance to get home yet. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the weekend and also what the talk was among the fans that were at the game. Were many jumping off the bandwagon already, or were they willing to give it a little more time?

Yes, it was a great weekend indeed. I arrived back in Houston at 8:30am and had just enought time to get home, pick up the wife, take her out to breakfast and get back home in time for kick-off.

It was great to meet everyone.

Sophie and I had a great time at the golf outing. It was great to put faces to some of the names on here. I really wish we could have made it to the banquet and auction Saturday night, but we had something come up. We looked for the tailgating at the game Sunday, but after wandering around Lot D for awhile and not finding you we had to give up and go back to our party. I did see the 37 Forever banner hanging from the upper deck for awhile, but then it was gone. Did someone make you guys take it down?

Anyway it was great to meet some of you guys and I hope to do it again next year or sooner.

Yeah, it was great to meet everyone. Overall, the weekend was a success.

Nobody "made" us take the flag down, a raiders fan "claimed" it was blowing up into his face and cut it down before halftime. He's lucky he didn't get thumped, but I decided to be the calmer head.

We were right near the front of lot D. I'm shocked you didn't see us.

No one told me that faider had cut it down. Why didn't someone tell me that? I had some aggression that I really needed to let loose at that time.

I trust everyone got home safely? And didn't drink themselves into oblivion over the loss (I was tempted, but stopped after two beers)?

How did I miss Otter and 47Mack??? Did I talk to you guys and not know your screen names???

Raiderhader, don't feel too bad for leaving me out... I'm easily forgettable.

Things I learned this weekend....

All of us suck at golf, but KPhobia has a good arm ;)

You can practice all you want to on the putting green, but blind luck is usually your best bet (nice shot AJ)

[bobdole]ExtremeChief had a good time talking to the Senator and ExtremeChief thought the Viagra pen was a nice touch!![/bobdole]

I can drink Miller High Life Light and keep it down...

I had a blast this weekend except for the loss  and look forward to seeing ya'll sometime again...
