From several people that I talked to who probably had a better angle, they thought the FG was no good.

I was sitting behind the other goal post and it looked NO GOOD to me either.

It was good. No matter how bad your opinion of the refs, I'd have to credit them with the ability to look straight up the goal post and see which side the ball was on. As the ball was curving as it progressed and most of us viewed the kick on a 2-D screen, it looked very different to us.

Someone remarked that a FG over [ie, completely above] the cross bars was no good, but the NFL rules hold that
The actual goal is the plane extending indefinitely above the crossbar and between the outer edges of the posts
To be honest it looked like the ball was half on the upright and half outside...If the upright went up that high I believe it would have hit it and clanked off...But that didn't even bother me cause I had realized by that point we would have found another way to lose the game even if he missed.

Never should have come down to that FG anyway.

We had a dropped TD (Gonzo), 2 botched exchanges, a missed FG, blown KO coverage with 1 minute left, and a second-year CB covering TIM BROWN with less than 60 seconds on the clock. Correct any of those mistakes, and it's not up to Jano.

We just didn't play well enough to win - Oakland did. Makes me sick to admit it... but it is true.

That last field goal by Janikowski is what the Raiders pay him for...

I would prefer not to go there. Let's not cheapen ourselves by questioning a field goal.

The Raiders outplayed and outlasted us. Our Offense got very little going all day, our Special Teams were less than special [with the exception of great punting by Stryzinski] and our Defense was worn out in the 4th quarter.

The Raiders beat us, even though we benefited from a bad call on Garner's catch and a very friendly spot on Richardson's catch. Sure, you can then bring up the [2] or [3] Intentional Groundings that Gannon got away with and the holding calls that went un-flagged [on both sides of the ball, based on the stretched jerseys I saw all game long], but that just keeps the spiral going.

The Raiders won and the field goal was good. Unpalatable, I know, but close your eyes and swallow. That greasy lump will fade as the Chiefs continue their rebuilding season and get better as the year marches on.

We are better than this.

xoxo~

Giving the Raiders credit, even though it hurts all the way down to the bone.

It looked like it was far right to me. I think the refs just couldn't see the ball with the sun in their eyes and they didn't want to piss Gruden off again.

Gaz - The one thing I like about the replacement officials is the lack of PI calls. Let them play instead of trying to artificially boost the score by giving first downs for love taps.

Yes, the Raiders beat KC, but didn't pummel the Chiefs like some of your comrades predicted.

Hello, theraidison.

If you are here to talk football, then start talking. If you are here to serve crow, the only crow we are eating is from Raiders fans that had the sack to post & discuss football with us PRIOR to the game as well as postgame. If you ONLY want to run smack, then you will be run. I hope you understand and do not wear out your welcome with your second post.

Thanks.
