Which is where the entire starting lineup outside of Edmonds and DeRosa happens to fit?

Obviously, they're going to be declining by 2010. That's why having such a strong team this year is so nice.

32 is young in baseball...if they were all 37 then I'd be worried...

So the Cubs have 5-8 years before they need to worry about having a "rich" farm system...

30-35 is prime years...you figure out a routine, you figure out pitching, etc...

Lee, Ramirez, Soriano, Fukodome, Theriot...they aren't going anywhere for the next 5-8 years.

And the Cubs can buy talent just like anyone else.
