KC Star: NE signs Price off of our practice squad

New England plucks WR Price from Chiefs

The Patriots reportedly signed Maurice Price this week after the Chiefs waived him earlier this month and sent him to their practice squad.
The Chiefs have not announced the move, but multiple Boston-area media outlets, such as the Boston Globe, reported the acquisition. Price also was removed from the Chiefs' online roster.

Players on a team's practice squad can sign with another team, and thereby be placed on that team's active roster, at any time. The Chiefs waived Price on Sept. 10, when they signed quarterback Ingle Martin and promoted receiver Marques Hagans from the practice squad.

Price didn't play in the Chiefs' game at New England, the only one for which he was on the active roster. The 6-foot-1, second-year receiver played in the Chiefs' first three preseason games and had six catches for 94 yards and a touchdown.

He missed the 2007 regular season with a shoulder injury.

There are plenty of legitimate things to bitch about with this team. This isn't one of them.

But don't worry. We have Devard Darling!

Quit blubbering, people.

There's a reason why Maurice Price isn't the next Joe Horn, and that's that Price hasn't played one single NFL snap.

New England will cut his ass at the end of the season like they do with all of their 3rd and 4th option WRs.

Not quite....

Joe Horn actually played in "real live games" for 4 years with KC.

Price has never done that.

Not exactly a good track record of former Chiefs.
