Why do you watch the Chiefs during a bad year?

I am in no way saying that this is a bad year, and if we caught a few breaks to things other than Brodie's bones, we could easily be undefeated.

But that aside, assume that for some reason this was a bad year for the Chiefs. Why would you watch the games?

Poll to follow faster than a Brodie Croyle dislocation upon contact.

I'm paying attention this season to see how Brodie develops and watching Carl for a lesson on not how to end my career.

Chiefs are like family. Sometimes you are proud of them and alot of times you are embarrassed but in the end they are your family and you still like them.

For several years I watched because it was a habit... I guess because I was a "true fan". Every week I'd get excited for Sunday, and would watch no matter what...

Now I watch for the entertainment. I have a hard time watching NFL games live when I don't have anything else to do, especially on CBS, because of all the commercials. I no longer feel obligated to waste time watching the team fall further into irrelevance. I didn't see the Patriots game, and I've turned off every other game except the Broncos game by halftime. I couldn't imagine spending over $100 and then wasting 6+ hours at Arrowhead to watch something as bad at the home opener, just for the sake of watching the game (if I was a long time season ticket holder, and/or hosted or went to a big tailgate, knew everyone that sat around me, it would be a little different... I'd still probably leave by the 3rd quarter though).

Outside of the purposes of it being a social gathering or something on the television while doing other stuff, IMO, it's pointless to watch something as awful as last week's game. There's no gameplan, no improvement, and worst of all, not heart.

I'm no longer a glutton for punishment.

Heh, not very many people were honest about the preverse enjoyment of watching them suffer or being hydercritical and they make it easy. I marked both of those and was surprised that more didn't.

I certainly don't like watching them suffer and I don't like being hypercritical. I might BE critical at times but I certainly don't like it.

Next time you need help moving call the Chiefs and see what they provide for you.

I admire your stance in a way and I'm not from Missouri so I don't get to see what they give back but to me their a bad investment at this point.
