Chiefs Herms words

I saw on ESPN Herm's final comments. I don't remember them word for word but the jist of it was that he was thankful to get to be the head coach of "Lamar's Chiefs"

Herm, there is a new owner, new GM and soon to be new HC. It appears time has passed you by.
It is now Clark's Chiefs.

Well, it was Lamar who hired him. He did express his thanks to the Hunt family. He didn't appear to be slapping Clark ... just talking nice about the family.

who said anything about a slap....my only comment is that he called it Lamar's Team...I found that somewhat curious. NOt a that big a deal.

I thought he was pretty graceful about the whole situation.

I know what you're saying... he was hired into Lamar's team -- a team that hadn't won a playoff game in years, didn't have much direction, and would rather have 9-7 almost-playoff years than rebuild... and was fired by Clark's team -- a team that, in the last month, has had more direction than the previous 10+ years.

It's fitting that, in a time of such big change, we're firing a head coach that's stuck in the 70s.

Sorry, I was not aiming that at you. I meant what doomy3 said. I, also, raised an eye brow when I heard him mention Lamar. But, realized he was being gracious about the family and think he specifically meant Clark.

No they are not. Dungy has a ring and a great winning ratio ... how many years winning more that 11 games. Dungy was wise enough to fix the defense and allow Moore to continue that powerful offense. Herm is not that coach.

That's just wrong in so many ways. Fatlock tried to make that argument when Herm came here. Difference is Dungy took a franchise that had never won and made them winners. Herm has left 2 franchises worse off than when he took over. Herm might have the ability to fire up his players, but not the ability to make them play up to their potential. Dungy is a lot better with strategy and gameplanning as well.
