I think the most interesting pick in this draft

will be what the Chiefs do in round 2. We have the 34 pick (I think). The Chiefs may trade the number 3 for additional picks or take someone at that pick. However, we could get a very good player with our number 2. Any thoughts on who that might be? We need so much help and this year's draft will be Pioli and Haley's first as Chiefs so a lot of pressure to do it right. Any thoughts are appreciated.

So the Chiefs may trade the number 3 pick for additional picks or they may take someone at that pick? Hmmm.

That second pick will be key this year, as they all will be. All the help we can get, huh? There will still be some potential big time players there at that point.

I'm thinking we should go OT in both the first round and second round. Then we could move Albert back to guard where he played in college.

I'm thinking we take an OT in the 2nd round.. just cause we need one and it should be deep in this draft..

I'm going with my philosophy. You draft the best player, regardless of position.

So you would be OK with the double OT selections if that happens to be the best player available when we pick?

I think they might also trade the number 3 pick for additional picks or they may take someone at that pick.

I think when you get to round two, the best player available can be any number of guys and the likelihood of it being an OT is pretty slim, my feeling on it is if you're choosing between a mediocre/better than average LB, because that's what you need or a kick ass OT that you may or may not need...you go with the OT. That's just my opinion, and it could possibly be wrong. But I'd rather have players that have the potential to be great now, rather then waiting 5 years for them to develop and then them not even fitting the O or D that we may be running by then.

We're going to load up on defense this year.

I doubt we have many guys on that side of the ball that are the type of guys that Pioli typically looks for.

I don't know who we're going to pick, but it's nice to finally have hit a good player in round 2 with Flowers...previous to that our second round history has been abysmal. And yes, that includes Pollard. You don't draft a special-teams stud in the 2nd round.
