Slow computer startup
OK, relative computer idiot here, so bear with me.
My PC takes 2-3 minutes to load up when I log on and I don't have much stuff on this thing. Also Yahoo instant messenger keeps popping up wanting me to log on. I've looked everywhere on my machine and can't find how to shut that program off. I think it's half the problem with my slow startup. Any suggestions? Need more info? Thanks for your time |

go to start
run type in msconfig go to startup tab uncheck anything in there that you dont want to start up. apply changes reboot

OK,
Got to the list, but I have no idea what 3/4 of these programs are. if they don't launch in start-up, what's the harm?

You might want to try Ccleaner. Works pretty well for me.

go to control panel and use windows defender ,then click programs.
