This was obviously a rediculous homer rumor that had no merit, but that would have been one of the worst trades in the history of sports trades. The only thing that might have been worse is the Herschel Walker trade.

I remember that we may have tried to trade him to texas for chris davis, possibly nelson cruz, and some other guys but texas balked at it i believe. That was back when we thought we couldn't sign him.

It would have been our Brock trade, with the potential for it to be even worse.

I haven't read the whole thread but while listening to radio there was a thing where Soria apparently doesn't have any serious type of injury, just pain under his armpit. Basically the royals are telling him to man up and fight the pain and pitch. I guess they've checked him out and it can't do any damage or it isnt in a damaging spot, but i guess Soria in a way has never had a nagging injury and prefered the royals almost coddle him to not pitch. Not saying he's a panzy which i doubt, but i think they are telling him that pain is part of the game and you can get through it. Interesting story relating to his injury or the reasons he hasn't came in. It's as if Soria has kept himself out and thats why he's not on the DL. The royals are trying to tell him pain is part of the game, its just a bit of tightness in a weird spot.
