***Official Chiefs Will Beat Denver Thread***

Three of the Donkeys top receivers including their two best ones are out, the locker room is falling apart, and their QB sucks without star receivers. Last time Hali faced Clady he came away with three sacks. Winning will double our win total from last year and likely lose us the rights to Eric Berry

But it's always nice to beat Denver in Denver no matter the cost. This win will be bittersweet.

Yeah, but we would have two we could use, resulting in neither being run into the ground. JC would be a first rounder in a redraft after this years performance.

Imagine if MJD and Westbrook were in the same backfield. Or Chris Johnson and Reggie Bush(if he played to his potential).

I'm not saying they would be THAT good, but what if? Good luck matching up with that.

They would stack 8 or 9 in the box, and we could have the long ball occasionally, assuming we could make those throws and catch those balls.

I think OTW made a good point, though.

You don't "run" a player like Bush into the ground. You use him in creative ways because of the skill set that he possesses.

Same thing with Spiller. If you're drafting him as a traditional RB, I agree that this approach is ill-advised.

I'll watch it because it's the last game of the season. I don't expect to learn anything important about either team no matter the outcome.

IMO, he's Reggie Bush, without the sand in his 'gina. He's a triple threat who can actually carry the load for a team, unlike Bush.

I know everyone thinks we need a bruiser to pair with Charles, but I'd be happier having two guys that can take it to the house on any given play.

I don't disagree - the point I was making is that I don't think we can afford to draft for luxury like that with as many holes as we have on the rest of the team. We're not really in a position to pad one of the very, very few positions on the team with talent (much less talent you're intending to split time with) with even more. You can do that later in a rebuild, but I think we need to focus on foundation right now.

I think it's a moot discussion in any event, I think it's very, very unlikely that Spiller ends up here. Although stranger things have happened.

I agree, but I'd rather snag a star since we are drafting so high, and build the less sexy positions around the stars with FA, mid round pick trades, mid round draft picks, and future picks.

Play maker stars are harder to come by. And we need more talent at RB... Charles is already at the point where he has to throw his shoulder back in to place every Sunday. And then go back in the game.

But yeah, I agree, I doubt Spiller ends up here. They've got an Okung up their sleeve.

Tell me again why the Steelers won a Super Bowl. Was it because of a running back?

Tell me again why the Giants won a Super Bowl. Was it because of a running back?

I think the last team you can legitimately make a case for as winning a Super Bowl because of a RB they drafted is...the Ravens. The Rams traded for Faulk, Dillon was a trade if memory serves....I don't see a lot of teams going to the Super Bowl after spending a top five pick on a running back.

Your logic here is flawed because we have to take into consideration this year's available talent pool.

QB and QB/D are your answers to the first two questions, but we're likely not taking Clausen (though I'm not sure this is the best thing) and there isn't a great pass rusher in the draft (Giants).
