You are starting to convince me on Thomas. I wish juniors could play in some type of "draft bowl". I'd like to see him play outside the Georgia Tech offensive system.

Just remember as of today Alexander is a very very fringe 3rd round prospect, that means the Chiefs shouldn't be considering him before 4 because of how high the picks are.

Nope not one bit. I'd be pretty pumped.

Our LB core is horrid and we haven't addressed that position in years.

And we have to come out of this draft with a NT.

I don't care that Cody is fat. That's what being a NT is all about. I'm just afraid Haley would ruin him by trying to get him to slim down too much.

Thankfully there's probably no way that man ever sees anything below 330 so that's fine with me.

It'd be nice to no longer see teams gutting us with the run right up the middle.

absolutely. you get cody and mcclain (and hopefully another pass-rushing 'backer) and you've greatly improved the defense. ASSUMING that dajuan morgan steps up, you've got a stew cookin' baby!

Makes you drool for the possibilities of him as a RZ target. I still think he could have Colston-type upside.
I was interested to see his measurements because colleges usually inch-up players' height. But DA is as advertised.

There are some very good RBs out of the SEC in this draft that are more of the power-back mold to complement Charles: Anthony Dixon, Montario Hardesty, Ben Tate.... even Charles Scott.

I'd rather have Dan Williams (Tennessee) than Terrance Cody.

Id love for that to happen.

Our rush defense would be well on its way as that would give us a lot of the key run defenders from the recent championship teams to build around.

What type of routes did Thomas run at GT? It was mostly deep stuff right? Has he been at any camps or events where he has shown his route running ability?

If he runs below a 4.55 in the combine with his body type, he's a 2nd-3rd round pick.

Why do people act like Gilbert Brown was some kind of great player? He was a two down guy who was injured for a large part of his career, and missed another year of his prime because his fat ass ate his way out of the league.

Just because John Madden's dipshit ass used to give an occasional lick to Brown's lollipop in the midst of a Favre deep throat session while calling a Packers game doesn't mean he was that good.

Sombody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but say we draft a NT.

Say Cody or Williams out of Tenn, I think we all agree we need a NT bad but yes any 330+ NT is going to be a two down guy.

Naturally on 3rd an longs they'll sub in other quicker guys to pass rush.

I mean don't the Pats with Wilfork or the Steelers with Hampton take those guys out on 3rd & passing situations? I'd have to watch more of their games to know for sure but I'm assuming they do.

So whatever NT we draft, if he's a two down guy, I'm fine with that. Just as long as he stuffs the run getting us to those 3rd and longs.

changing subject:

And I'm also a fan of Alexander. I've seen how San Diego runs their offense with big WRs and essentially deep jump balls and I'd like to see some of that in KC.

I think you can even wait to take a WR until the 3rd, 4th or 5th round and get quality.
