Mark Cuban to buy the Royals?

Now that Mark Cuban has failed in his attempt to buy the Cub and Texans, what are the chances of him trying to buy the Royals? It's actually a very attractive deal for both the fans and MC. With one of the highest rated farm systems, this team could be good for a while. Add in some extra free agent $$ that Cuban would be prepared to spend and this team could be really exciting in 2011/2012.

I would love Cuban as an owner. Without an owner that cares like Cuban can we really stick with the White Sox spending, the Twins extra stadium revenue, and the Indians? I guess the only downside could be the possibility of Cuban moving the team at some point?

The Royals have a ton of avid fans despite the many losing seasons. What would KC be like if they start winning 90 games a year?

More popular MLB team in KC, but still a very distant second place in popularity in their own state.

And further proof why Royals fans think most Cardinals fans are douches.

Man, I answered his question honestly and folks get butthurt. And I'm 32 Reerun, if that has some merit to anything here.

And, I think the only minds that could possibly link Cuban and the Royals are those that wear blue tinted glasses.

No butthurt here.... no need to get all emotional over a question... But back in the 70' and 80's the Royals were just as popular....

Really? Because the question was about the Royals. But as usual, in any discussion about the Royals, some douche bag Cards fans feels it is his duty to remind us how awesome their franchise is.

Sure they were. In the 70's when they were a team that wasn't even 10 years old until 79 they were just as popular as a team that had been in the state for nearly 9X that amount of time. Even in the 80's when they managed to have success I would guess that their popularity made it to about Blue Springs and that would be about as far as you could find consistently loyal followers.
