I have no idea what's gone on in the first 250 posts of this thread, but for what it's worth...

Our average daily number of logged in users was 922 in September 2010, compared to 943 in September 2009. In other words, there were more people around at this point last year than there have been this year. It's possible that more n00bs are actually talking instead of lurking this year, but they have been around.
