***OFFICIAL 49ers vs. Chiefs Smack Talk PREGAME THREAD***

Chiefs are 2-0.....holy crap

49ers 0-1....pending 0-2 or 1-1 (hopefully the latter)...

I hope somehow, the 49ers pull a miracle tonight...but Alex Smith is no Matt Cassel

Patrick Willis went to Spain because he heard about the running of the bulls.

The bulls got only 3 yards on 14 carries.

Nice. Willis is a bad man. Would love to have a player with his fire. With that said, DJ has been a man possessed this season thus far, and looks like the player we envisioned upon drafting him. Not quite on Willis' level, but he may stay step for step with him as far as #s go in this game. DJ has 24 stops so far this season. What is Willis sitting at?

Glen Coffee looked at the schedule and saw Kansas City, and you know what happened next.

New article by Peter King

The Bad:

Quote:
I took a couple of things out of Saints 25, 49ers 22 Monday night. One: San Francisco has to be the sloppiest, ugliest team in the league through two weeks, and that takes in a lot of ground (Cleveland, Carolina, Buffalo).
The Good:

Quote:
Alex Smith. Did he do enough to win the game? No. But he stood toe-to-toe with Drew Brees on a very windy night and was done in by the incompetence of his teammates.

As I've stated before, if you can't get even one offesnive TD against the Browns, something is horribly wrong.

2-0 is awesome, 3-0 is definately not out of the question. But beyond that, the Chiefs are gonna get used like a red-headed choir boy after mass.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
