Need a recommendation on a Steak House...
... in Topeka.

My folks are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary next month. They're heading up to the casonis north of T-Town for a bit, then they want to have a family meal (call it 20) at a nice steak joint in Topeka (central to all of the attendees).

Adults and kids ranging from 71 to 4. Family friendly...

Thanks in advance for the suggestions. You don't celebrate 50 years very often.

the best steak house in the area is my house, by far. I rarely go out for steak. If you must however, Capital Grill does make a great steak.

No steak worth having in Topeka. Skip the steak and take everyone to Paisanos for family style Italian. Great family atmosphere, not too loud, but not hush-hush either. Shouldn't have any problem with 20 people with a reservation.

If you insist on steak, IHOP has a steak and eggs deal, and there is always Steak-n-Shake.

I do believe you missed the request that his parents, celebrating their 50th anniversary, made about it being a steak place.

FYI, he lives in Lawrence, so I'm sure he's well-acquainted with what Paisanos has to offer him. Again though, his parents requested that it be a steak place, not an Italian restaurant.
