yea Arizona is that bad

but it doesnt take away the fact that this might be the deepest/most complete Chiefs roster in my life time since the early/mid 90s.

I just got back from night golf. My judgement is so skewed that Cassel looked decent.

And on top of that their offensive line can't pass block for $3it...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Disagree. He was still effective regardless of numbers. The comparison as I stated prior using the term "cheap" because he is not as fast as Riggins or quite as strong but will be that change of pace back with power and some speed to boot.

He was going on the good ole one read progression, then passed it. You can tell it was predetermined where he was going to pass it the guy never scanned the field. He just hurled it at his #1 read, look at his targets McCluster and the RBs were the main receivers. One time he threw to Baldwin but he was triple covered, though he benefited from a penalty due to the Tom Brady rule so that play didn't count.

Same shit different year.

Also, the running game and defense were lights out

My thoughts:

1. Other than the swing pass to Charles on what may have been a botched play, every one of Cassel's throws was to the left. Possibly significant because reports from TC claiming he only used half the field. He never had to look far beyond his primary target. Putting it plainly, things couldn't have gone much smoother for Cassel. That being said, he took advantage of it. Kind of his MO.

2. Our interior run blocking is better. Even when they weren't making holes, they were pushing several yards beyond the los.

3. We have 4 good RBs. Excellent vision by Draughn and Gray. Gray's first run, where he slowed to let blocks develop reminded me of Holmes.

4. Poe came in on a sub package when Houston got his sack. Got a nice push into the pocket. That kind of push will make Hali and Houston deadly.

5. The Cardinals looked really bad to me. Time will tell how much of that was them, and how much was the Chiefs. Trying to temper my excitement accordingly.

Will have to watch again to verify, but didn't see one play where he wasn't double teamed and didn't overpower the blocker(s).

I know he had one play in particular where he was one on one, tried to just power through, and got stuffed. I remember thinking he looked like a guy who's used to getting by on strength rather than technique.

Huh? Jeff Allen was whooping ass tonight.

He was manhandling his guy up front, he had a nice pull on a running play, showed great quickness/speed and he made the key block on Wylie's return. He also showed his versatility by holding his own at left tackle late in the game.

He was one of the most impressive players to me. The sooner he replaces Lilja, the better.

Better than I expected. He got some push up the middle. Don't think I remember him being in there more than a handful of plays.

For such a raw rookie, I was actually impressed but I wasn't expecting that much. Poe has a good motor and was showing effort. The technique will come with time. This is definitely NOT the second coming of Ryan Sims.
