Duno if this is a Q...and it is from King, but hello LT at #1.

I've thought this was likely for awhile. If they planned on keeping Albert long term he would have been locked up while they were throwing money around like candy

So why didn't he say according to Dorsey or a source? Because maybe he is afraid to put words in his mouth?
Also, why in the world would Dorsey tell anyone they will listen to trade offers for Albert? That would severly damage their trade down potential if teams knew they were without a doubt not taking a QB. |

Not really, as long as Jacksonville keeps making it known they are VERY interested in Geno.

Well maybe if we spend less on the LT we'll be able to afford a quality RT too. If we trade Albert and then draft an OT were basically trading one OT for another. And there is a chance the guy we draft could prove to be a long term upgrade. I'm fine with keeping Albert but I don't see what's wrong with trading him to save some cap space while trying to improve the whole team. It might not workout then again it just might. If we would have just let Albert walk and drafted an OT at 1.1 that would suck.

jarvis jones would be a SHITTY OT, what with the spinal stenosis and his best abilities being PASS-RUSHING.

As a franchise player we'd be entitled to 2 #1's. Why wouldn't we listen to a 1&3 offer or something?

I'm in the Geno at #1 camp, but if that is not going to happen, how about something along these lines...
Albert to Miami to replace Long for their two 2nd rounders, #42 and #54. Buffalo trades up to #1 for Geno, and we get #8, #41, and at least a #1 in next years draft. That gives us... #8 (1st) #41 (2nd) #42 (2nd) #54 (2nd) #63 (3rd) |

A team source tells the Miami Herald the Dolphins plan to replace departed LT Jake Long via free agency. In addition to its alluring tropical climate, cap space apparently grows on trees in Miami. If free agency is indeed the Dolphins' plan to replace Long, it's a bit puzzling because the left tackle market has been picked clean, and they're in prime position to select a new blindside protector at No. 12 in the draft. It means the Dolphins are comfortable with second-year pro Jonathan Martin at left tackle even though he struggled mightily in Long's absence last season. The Palm Beach Post reported Sunday free agent Eric Winston would be an option if Long left town. Winston would be cheaper than Sebastian Vollmer or Andre Smith. |
