JFC get a grip.

You don't draft developmental QB's at 1.1 thats exactly why Geno went in the second round. Pay attention.

As has already been pointed out Fisher was drafted to play LT and he will be there starting soon. He would be there right now had they been able to trade Albert. He isn't a developmental project and to say that is just stupid.

Fisher isn't a developmental project?

Is that why it was universally known that he wasn't, at the time of his selection, the best at his position but had the best potential?

Sounds like the very definition of a project to me.

He'll be alright.

We got the QBOTF free and a rt who will be good at a hefty price. Doesn't make sense, but it is the way it is.

I think Bray will be nails for us in a couple of years.

Say it with me:

"Bray to Austin for the TD".

Now repeat that about 400 career times, and meditate.

Ummm........Ummmm......Ummmm....

The problem was that the original argument is wrong.

Geno didn't drop because he was a project. He was dropped because teams didn't like his attitude. Fair or not, we'll see. I certainly think it's silly to judge either Fisher or Geno's careers based on a few preseason games. Hell, I think Fisher deserves about a half season and Geno deserves about 2 years.

Bray played well, but we've seen that from him before. The talents he displayed last night were well-known... it's the other stuff that caused him to be an UDFA.

Need to see a lot more - and see him maintain it - before he's anointed the QBotF.

Right now Fisher looks just as much of a developmental player as Geno. He's struggling mightily with the RT position. I'd hate to see him protecting the QB blindside at the more demanding LT position at this point. The Chiefs have never once said anything about Fisher moving to the left. There is no evidence at all that he'll be there starting soon. That's simply what some fans want, in order to justify the draft spot. But the Chiefs have went so far as to deny that they intended to replace Albert with Fisher. So far he's absolutely been a development, from training camp to the preseason games. He's been frequently dominated, even by opposing scrubs that won't be in the NFL in a matter of weeks.

He was not the most immediately polished but had the highest ceiling, thats not a "project" thats a he may not be the best right now but he will be.

It was also universally known that Fisher was a #1 overall talent and that Geno wasn't if you want to use the "universally known" card.

I wasn't in the camp to pick Fisher anyway, thats not my issue.

Everything we have seen so far indicates Geno would have been a huge mistake at 1.1 and people still try to act like thats not the case and its ****ing hilarious.

Granted I said "so far" but it doesn't look good.

At this point I like Bray's upside more and neither of them may amount to a bag of shit.

If you watch week 2, he doesn't use his right arm to block anybody. He was clearly favoring an injury. He looked fine in week 3 against a good Steelers line.

I'm not here to justify him at 1.1. I don't like the pick. But I'll evaluate him on what he does at Tackle. And at Tackle, there's no red flags that his career is in trouble. And I don't think he has to be a Left Tackle for his career to be successful. Again, he'll never be worth a 1.1, but Right Tackle is becoming very important when it comes to positional value.

This is horseshit and you know it. You just hated the pick.

Regardless I am not defending Fisher, the fact is Geno looks to be a turd.

Funny how all the Geno ball washers just start railing on Fisher to defend Geno stinking it up.

Fisher may end up busting (though that is highly highly unlikely) that wont change anything if Geno is a turd. Geno will still be turd.

I also disagree Fisher is a project and you will see that soon enough.

I understand that people are desperate for a QB ... i want one too.

I thought Clausen would be a solid 2nd round pick but he's turns to shit.

I think Geno is better than he is showing now.

we just need to calm down a bit.
I realize this is becoming part of the ChiefsPlanet lexicon, but a lot of the guys who loved Geno Smith as a prospect did not like any of the other guys. I know I didn't, and I know several of us talked about that in the Geno thread at one point... I think it was before the season ended and before the thread contracted AIDS for the first time.
