Who is better than Alex Smith?

That's what makes Alex Smith so tough to classify, in my opinion. He's just so overly conservative. In a league where such a large percentage of games are won and lost by 7 points or less, you really can win a lot of games simply by not screwing up. Of course, he also isn't the guy that can dig you out of a hole ala Tony Romo or Jay Cutler when the defense isn't playing well or you have to deal with some unlucky bounces. |
