If the Bills win tomorrow and then the Chiefs lose on Saturday, Bills get the 1 seed, have the option to rest starters even more next weekend (+bye), and the Pats have a huge advantage playing against a resting Bills team when competing for the last playoff spot against the Dolphins and Steelers.

No idea how the NFL feels comfortable potentially giving away this advantage. It’s the entire reason why the games are TBD - so this situation doesn’t exist.

If the Bills win tonight, we’re guaranteed to at least have the 2 seed and realistically no shot of having the 1. Reid could treat Saturday’s game as a bye week and rest everyone, which isn’t a terrible idea considering the players we have that are banged up.
