Agreed Cassell is a backup and lacks NFL talent, but even correctly lining up before a snap is such an achievement for this group and that is directly on the coaching staff. What we lack in talent can be overcome by shrewd tactics. Heck just sustain a few drives to keep the D fresh and at least get field goals. Can't our coaching staff even call plays to get 60 yards per drive 4 times a game much less touchdowns? I find it hard to believe that players are screwing up so badly to score only 3-7 points a game. They are definitely to blame, but I wonder if they are being put in positions to succeed.
