Receivers Pushing Off and Pick Plays
Pushing off and pick plays are both technically against the rules, but only egregious examples are called these days. Every 3rd down converted by the Pats in OT was due to a push off by the receiver who caught the ball, and at least one had a pretty blatant pick play in it as well.
I know the NFL has gone all in on offense, but it is a disservice to a huge facet of the game to allow such blatant cheating, and then to flag defenders for minor contact and calling it Holding or PI. |
