Yes, there are instances (Mahomes being the obvious one) where he'll let a guy play, but to say that as a general rule he's not conservative with injuries is just silly. If there's an injury that runs the risk of aggravation and the player wasn't able to put in a full week of practice, he RARELY plays them that week. His usual rule is to be a full participant by the Wednesday practice but again, even a limited designation on Tuesday makes it no better than a coin flip scenario that a guy's going to play unless it's some sort of maintenance day. Reid very much slow-plays guys returning from injury.
