Nebraska-Mizzou set for ESPN prime time

Missouri versus Nebraska will be prime time on ESPN on Oct. 6, the game having been selected for an 8:15 p.m. (central time) telecast.It was never a question of if the game – pitting No. 20 Mizzou against No. 25 Nebraska – would be in the TV spotlight, only when.And MU officials were informed of the night slot late this morning.Missouri and Nebraska were picked to finish 1-2 in the Big 12 North by a pre-season media vote, and the game is anticipated to be a sellout in Columbia. Hotel rooms are already sparse in Columbia, and have been for weeks.The Tigers – who do not play this week – are 4-0. Nebraska, losers only to USC this season but having escaped with a 41-40 home victory against Ball State last Saturday, play Iowa State on Saturday and are expected to bring a 4-1 record into Columbia.Missouri has won the last two games against Nebraska in Columbia, each by 41-24 scores.“We’re definitely confident in ourselves,” MU tight end Martin Rucker said. “We respect everybody we play, we just don’t fear them.”
