DeSean Jackson
I'm curious if people would be upset if the Chiefs drafted him in the 5-8 range (assume Long and Dorsey are off the board).
I look at him as the explosive touchdown / big-play maker that this team desperately needs. The team right now has no explosive open-field player who can take the ball all the way every time he touches it. Bowe, Gonzalez, LJ, and Kolby are all move-the-chain types - they're not explosive. Plus big plays on special teams determine so many close games, as the Bears showed last year. I think he's a much more polished receiver than Ted Ginn was last year, coming from Tedford's pro-style offense. And remember Herm's first draft pick as a head coach was Santana Moss, who won many games for him with big punt returns and catches. |
