KU KU football’s Parish arrested on four charges

Kansas University offensive lineman Darius Parish was released from the Johnson County jail Sunday night after being charged with one count of making a criminal threat, one count of criminal trespassing and two counts of criminal damage.

Making a criminal threat is a felony under Kansas law; the other three counts are misdemeanors.

A KU spokesperson confirmed Tuesday night that Parish was involved in the incident, but said the school would reserve comment until the legal process had taken its course.

Parish, a sophomore from Wichita, red-shirted this season after making the switch from defensive line to offensive line. As a freshman in 2008, he played in 12 of the team's 13 games and finished the year with eight tackles.

He was released Sunday on $7,500 bail.
