LB Foote back to steelers
Source: Foote returning to Steelers
By John Clayton ESPN.com Archive Foote Linebacker Larry Foote has ended his one-year absence from the Pittsburgh Steelers, reaching a three-year, $9.3 million agreement with the team, according to a source. Included in the deal was a $1.8 million signing bonus, the source said. Foote was deciding between the Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals, but the lure of returning to the Steelers won out. Foote will make $3.9 million in the first year of the deal, a source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Foote was a fourth-round pick of the Steelers in 2002 but left in free agency last season to play with the Detroit Lions. Foote started 80 games over five years for the Steelers from 2004 to 2008.
