Cameron Sheffield back working out

Back To Work For Kansas City Chiefs LB Cameron Sheffield

by Joel Thorman on Aug 29, 2010 11:55 AM PDT in 2010 Kansas City Chiefs Preseason

More good news is coming in on Kansas City Chiefs LB Cameron Sheffield. A few outlets have reported that he's "doing fine" after a neck injury caused him to be carted off the field on Friday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Chiefs coach Todd Haley broke his rule on not talking injuries "because of the nature of the injury" and confirmed that Sheffield is doing just fine and even in the facility working out this afternoon.

"He's in here today, working out, moving around, all those things," Haley said at his press conference Sunday afternoon. "He had a lot of us worried. I made a late-night visit down there after the game and he was already sitting up eating a sub sandwich.
"It went from looking pretty bleak to looking real good. I'm just grateful and thankful it turned out that way."

This is the second week in a row the Chiefs have heard good news on players carted off the field with neck/head injuries. Preferably, we don't want to hear about anyone having to recover from a neck injury.
