Both teams are fatally flawed. The Chiefs' offensive issues are completely discrete from Denver's horrible, horrible defense. That's the 2005 Chiefs defense.

Exaggerated. None of the flaws on that team are fatal.

I don't know why Chiefs fans are so excited about the way that Denver game went down. It's not like KC is capable of competing with Denver in that manner. Show me a game where that offense gets stopped, and I'll start getting excited. Because that's what KC will have to do to win.

Last yrs D held Manning to 19 in Arrowhead. Yes, they are better on offense this year it seems. The Chiefs D is a lot better this year.

It is possible.

New England with Gronkowski can stop that offense a few times, and that might be all it needs, because he completely changes the complexion of that offense. The Seahawks and Niners can stop that offense more than a few times.

Any defense that gives up 48 points and 500 yards of passing in a game has serious issues that aren't all that fixable.

Wait til the weather changes and manning has to put up those kind of numbers in the winter weather. History proves that peyton pussies out in late season winter weather games.

He started to fold up a bit today after that pick. The play where grounding should have been called is a fair example. The pocket started to collapse and he shit himself instantly.

And Denver won't face a Defense that can push their shit in like they will when facing KC.

Right now, close to 1/3 of the defense can easily make claim to being a Pro Bowl starter for the AFC.
We will have a lock of at least 5 Pro Bowl players on defense barring injury.

HALI, POE, DJ, HOUSTON, BERRY
- Flowers plays well enough to be considered, but won't be most likely.

My biggest issue stems from the change in league rules severely handicaps the degree to which a dominant defense can handcuff a offense in the pass happy NFL, but. I'll still take the Chiefs D to fare well and as weather gets worse, that is to their advantage, as is having Reid not running some hurry up bullshit that's gonna leave them out there to suck wind come the 4th, or a repeat of our seemingly constant 3 and out "featured" offense under Cassel

KC's defense is playing very well, but they aren't even the best in the league. I don't get how anyone can act like KC is such a sure thing against Denver when lesser offenses have been able to move the ball on us.

I'm not saying Denver will never be stopped, or that KC won't be the team that does it. But if this is the collision of the immovable object and the unstoppable force, Denver has looked more unstoppable than KC has looked immovable.

Don't disagree, the game is officiated to their advantage already, and their Passing offense may be historic good- our D at this point, no.

But, as the season progresses, offenses don't have the same luxury of ideal conditions, unless your a dome team. Peyton has never been a great cold bad weather guy, not that he's incapable and he's still him, but this tale has played itself out before. Another reason why Aaron Rodgers is a freak- his numbers in bad weather and below freezing games are mind blowing.

BINGO !!

Denver's offense IS a juggernaut contrary to some opinions and Manning only gets better with his WR's over time. I mean hell, Dal goes up 14-0 and sucking half of the 1st qrt down after the 1st possession by Dal and Manning didn't bat an eye and next thing you know by mid 2nd qrt they are up 21-17.

Our D and special teams,Succopp are legit but we can't keep relying on them more and more every week as our offense continues to stall in the redzone. Succopp making 4 FGs is a double edge sword and only costs us in the long run. Alex and our offense scares no one. We have to sustain drives with 2/3rds being TDs in the redzone and that is not happening right now. Only way you beat Manning is keeping him on the sideline and you do that with sustained drives eating the clock up and scoring TDs otherwise he eventually shreds our 2ndary because as much as I like how our D has vastly improved the pass rush but I don't see our front 7 getting to him in 1.5 to 2secs which is how quickly he gets rid of the ball on average. Oh and did you notice how well Chris Clark handled D Ware today ??

I love all the improvements and winning for our Chiefs and all the fan excitement but let's not get ahead of ourselves

For me it's deja vu of early 90's Chiefs football all Great Defense and very little offense. Andy will hopefully change the other half and get this offense ticking consistently.

You understand that we are the #1 scoring defense and the #12 scoring offense don't you? That is a reason to be very excited.

#12 scoring offense is maybe a misnomer. #12 scoring team perhaps. I'd have to go back through the box scores, but I'm not sure the STs and defense isn't responsible for a third of the team's TDs. And I mean directly, as in scoring themselves, not even trying to figure in field position and stuff like that.
