Well, I think the article also covered that. Didn't it say that our TV market was not big enough to be desirable to other conferences during realignment? The only way to fix that is to expand the TV markets. I think this is the first step in the process. Now the huge KU fanbase in Chicago is able to watch some KU sports for example.

But those 600s show more KU football and basketball games than they show Chiefs games out here on CBS (which is why I have NFLST obviously). They haven't shown all KU football games but they have shown EVERY KU basketball game for the four years I've been out here.

I honestly don't know why unless you are forced to have TWC, why on earth would you have it? I had it for a month when I first moved to KC years ago and it was absolutely horrid and I demanded they drop my service completely free of charge because they were so unreliable.

That's not Z. Bill likes to schedule teams that bring a different look and feel to the game. This team runs a zone D, and cranks it up a lot from 3 point range. Granted, other schools do similar things, but the president of Iona is a KU grad.

But what I run into is that there are like 140 channels and I only get a couple of them.

For one it starts to change the perception that KU is not a one trick pony. That's all everyone thinks about KU. It's a basketball school. That's it. We need the volleyball team, football team, baseball team etc to get much better so other conferences see there are multiple reasons to add us.

The Big Ten already has good basketball teams, why do they want to add another school that is only good at hoops? We need to get better at other things to change the way our peers look at us. Having espn3 as a platform should help our coaches in recruiting. That in turn should have a trickle down effect into more of our programs getting better. Being competitive in multiple sports can do nothing but help KU's positioning should realignment come back. That is why it is important that the volleyball team continues to do well and football improves and baseball gets better and and and.

By the way, the Big Ten takes volleyball serious. If you want KU to go there you should know this. They are historically a very good conference in volleyball. Currently 8 of the top 25 schools in that sport are from the Big Ten.
