it's beautiful.
It's also frustrating as levels are rediculously long between checkpoints. It doesn't save your state at checkpoints either. If you quit playing for the day you will have to start the entire level all over again. Once I got to the capture the professor mission that was incredibly long and drawn out. They also don't give you any direction on that level on what to do other than stop the hordes coming your way. Matter of fact, go look up the Angry Joe review for it. Describes my feelings of the game perfectly. No I'm not sayng don't get it. Just saying you have to be in the mood for it. It is an outstanding tech demo of what the PS4 will be capable of. Actually, here is Angry Joe... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT4XLwDjer0

New info just came out on how the Tomb Raider definitive edition will run. Apparently, they are both 1080p, however, the PS4 will run the game at 60fps, and Xbone will run it at 30fps, climbing to 45fps when there isn't as much activity. Starting to see a trend here...

Gamestop has had PS4s in stock across its stores for the last day or so. I would go out and buy one but I have a wedding to save for *grumble grumble*

Depends on the game, it's visuals, speed of gameplay etc. You most certainly can see the difference, some games more than others.

I wonder how many people are going to rebuy a game at full price that they already played?

Meh, Dead Rising 3 hits low FPS counts when you're mowing through zombies all at once sometimes but I still enjoy the shit out of the game.

#8 on Game Informer's list of top 10 disappointments of 2013...
Still Worse with Kinect Kinect is brilliant in concept, but even the second iteration of this device has a litany of problems. The camera mistook a plush giraffe stuffed animal for associate editor Kyle Hilliard, the voice commands rarely work on the first try, and third-party developers don't seem to be too keen on investing in a feature available on only one console. |
