You really like Jackson that much? I like Yankey more than I do Jackson but I wouldn't consider either at 23.

Yes.

Jackson is as dominant an offensive lineman as there is in this draft. He was absolutely overpowering against everyone in the SEC.

He's ridiculously powerful, with a massive base. He comes up out of his stance quickly and just drive blocks the bejesus out of whoever is in front of him. He's excellent in pass protection as well as when he locks onto a guy, it's pretty much over. And he plays really, really mean. Just wants to bury guys. Watch the game tapes - guys go out of their way to avoid him.

Yankey is a nice player, but he's totally finesse. I thought he looked overmatched in the two Stanford games I really paid attention to - Utah and Michigan State. I specifically watched the Rose Bowl to watch Yankey. Nice, but he didn't stand out and looked somewhat pedestrian. He's going to have to play in a pure zone block system to be truly effective at the next level IMO, whereas Jackson fits exactly what Reid wants out of his guards - maulers who are able to move the line forward. (It's why you saw a big difference in the change between Asamoah and Schwartz.)

And, frankly, I think Jackson is that good with a tremendous ceiling in Reid's offense. And that's why I like he, Hageman and Beckham - I think all three are absolute perfect fits for their positions on this team with this coaching staff, especially Jackson.
