2-down players are easily replaced. It's the guys who can do it all (Campbell, Dockett (when he was younger), Wilkerson, Jordan, Watt, Smith, Seymour, Richardson, etc.) that you need to hold on to. 2-down players can be replaced easily and cheaply in FA or later in the draft.

Blame Pioli, he's the one who kept drafting square pegs to fit into round holes.

Lots of FA's right now who could perform the same role that Jackson did.

Could easily do it if they wanted to. They'll likely wait on the post-draft period to make any real moves in FA.

Meh, not worth it. Doesn't offer any pass rush upside either. I'd rather give Catapano and Co. a shot than re-sign a proven-to-be mediocre pass rusher in TJ.

And If he's asking for an unrealistic contract? There's a reason we haven't put serious play into keeping him, Albert, Asamoah, and Schwartz. They're asking for too much. He might be missed you stop the run, but I don't think it will be that big of an impact
