Chiefs open to trading Flowers
Dan Pompei of Bleacher Report reports the Chiefs "are believed to be willing to deal" CB Brandon Flowers.
Flowers struggled mightily in DC Bob Sutton's press-man scheme last season, grading out as a bottom-15 cover corner at Pro Football Focus. He allowed a 66.7 percent completion rate, 846 yards, and four touchdowns in his coverage, while QBs had a 103.9 rating throwing at him. Flowers has three years left on a six-year, $49.35 million deal and may be difficult to move. At 5-foot-9 and 187 pounds, he's best suited to fill the slot role. He somehow made the Pro Bowl last season. Rotoworld Football @Rotoworld_FB 4m Report: Chiefs open to trading CB Flowers http://dlvr.it/5bCbcr |

So you're saying you think Flowers was great in coverage last season? Anyone who payed attention to the CB play in 2013 would have seen that he was easily the worst of our top 3 corners.

Anyone who paid attention could see Flowers was the only CB who could keep up with TY.

He was on Keenan Allen the whole game against the Chargers? He shadowed Josh Gordon? Well I guess he did a damn good job last season then considering the fact that those Wrs did nothing against our def . . . oh wait. ![]() |

Not great but far from 95th worst or whatever bullshit PFF is peddling. I'd argue Smith was our best, followed by Flowers, and then Cooper. |

PFF, Bleacher Report, you name it, Flowers was consistently graded out as the worst starting CB on the team. Even if you don't fully agree with where he was ranked overall, there's something to the fact that all of the sites tend to agree that he was our worst performer in 2013. |

Is Brandon Flowers worth a 2nd round pick? #Lions have interested I've been told, unsure if it's been reported yet. |
