That's fine. She might be over the top with the way she treats her pets like people, but it also sounds like you might be over the top in your reaction to it. It's much easier to deal with an awkward chick/dog relationship than a ****ed up mother/son relationship. At least you know the dog is going to die at some point. The little prince she treats like her boyfriend is going to out live your ass.

Went to my wifes nephew's (I guess that makes him my nephew??) wedding down in Joplin several years ago. The mother/groom dance at the reception was awkward as ****. I hadn't seen chemistry like that since Swayze and Demi in Ghost.
