Maybe we get the same treatment had we somehow brought him in (as impossible as that was realistically speaking...). Right now we're a crappy franchise that's played crappy ball for most of the last 15 years, and I don't think we either get or have earned a lot of respect or leeway from either the league or the officials. Maybe if we continue to win, if we start to build a reputation on either side of the ball, calls start to go our way. Or maybe not. I do think there's something to what you're saying, we still seem to have some issues with basic technique (like jamming receivers legally).
