I would be super duper happy beyond words if we win even one wildcard playoff game.

I hate that 'monkey' on our backs....I just think the odds are pretty long, considering we will have to play an away game against a divisional winner week 1 of the playoffs...

Anyway...don't mistake the mindset of trying to keep our hopes 'tempered' (pun intended) with just WAITING to go crazy if we actually pull this off.
I don't need to pardon you or any long time fans. As a longtime fan of the Sacramento Kings, (sorry KC) I know a bit what it's like to never sniff the post season. But to me, if you don't allow yourself any hope or any optimism at all, even through all of the losing, than what's the point? It probably won't happen this year, maybe next year or 5 years... but if you don't at least allow for the possibility during the regular season, than you'll miss the "ride" when it does happen.

Anyway.... I'm pulling for you guys. Would love to see the Chiefs fans get some payoff.

I guess its semantics but the ride is not just about this season, its about this TEAM...

Seeing the young team come together and now start beating decent teams is really cool. Last couple years, we could only beat losing teams....with backup QB's etc...

Watching the plan unfold is very interesting, and seeing April's draft will be another step.

If we do manage to win a playoff game this year, it wont really be the end game of 'the ride' it will just be the beginning...

I personally dont think people are missing the ride by not having 'hope' for a playoff run this season, they are just on a different ride than you....

But I dunno, everyone experiences shit differently. I have a tiny bit of hope we will win a playoff game - if only to get experience (much needed ) for a young team....not so much as an end result. If we go 5-3 that hope will grow a little...If we win more away games against winning teams....that hope could grow alot.

I would love it if my tiny pilot light of hope could get ignited by the gas of a playoff run...but I just see too many flaws still and I am not going to let a single win against a banged up SD team bust my gas valve wide open.

right on

Ill sit next to you on the bus

until you decide to pull the stop cord and leave us

8-(

edit:

Youre like that creepy dude with a bus pass who comes on the bus to follow a hot piece of ass (ALex Smith) but when he transfers to another bus (like maybe Arizona or something) youll just wait until he leaves and then casually walk off the bus to follow....leaving us here wondering if the hot piece of ass is going to get raped or not...

LOL , i kid...

Nah... you won't need to slow down. I'll just jump out the window or something. Rest assured... the hot piece of ass is safe from me.
