OK, looks like you are right but on the flip side, they will have to dismantle the talent on the team to stay salary-cap healthy. So these guys are basically rentals. But yes, smart way to go all-in without necessarily mortgaging the future.

Things get a little sticky if they don't make the Super Bowl this year and have to try and retain all that talent for 2015. Then they are stuck.

Does that really matter? There manning experiment has had them the #1 seed for what two years straight, 1 superbowl apperance, poised for another one, 11-0 vs AFC West. They have had more playoff victories last year ALONE, then the Chiefs have had in 25+ years.

Cap space be damned. Denver hit a home run when they signed peyton. And if they get two superbowls out of him, that's how many the chiefs have been in total..since existence. Even as I type this out, and I can see just how truly pathetic the chiefs have been over the years.

Agree, if Denver only wins one Super Bowl, then it was worth it.
