Earlier Wednesday, Sony pulled the film, which depicts the assassination of North Korea's leader, following a threat that people should avoid going to theaters where "The Interview" is playing. The country's major theater companies had said they had decided to postpone or cancel next week's showing.
"In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film "The Interview," we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release," Sony said in its first statement on the matter.
"Sony Pictures has been the victim of an unprecedented criminal assault against our employees, our customers, and our business. ... We are deeply saddened at this brazen effort to suppress the distribution of a movie. ... We stand by our filmmakers and their right to free expression and are extremely disappointed by this outcome."

The risk for Sony was far too great. What if there was bloodshed over a dopey movie? That would be the end for Sony, it's employees and shareholders.

So you think that, on short notice mind you, that NK could "contract" out with individuals who would need to come to the United States and purchase a firearm and then coordinate an attack on a movie theater.

Contact someone loyal here in the US who may or may not have to go purchase a firearm and carry out a coordinated attack.

Sounds like a lot to do on a couple days notice...unless you are saying that an active NK terror cell resides in the US currently

There's also a massive difference between hacking and actually committing an act of war against the United States.

Followed through with every threat to hack a computer.....is a big difference than following through with a terrorist attack
