Seriously, this whole "Hollywood is destroying America" crap is, and has always been, incredibly silly. A few rich actors donate money to certain politicians or express whatever opinions to the media as a private citizen outside of their job, and a few people in the fringiest regions of the far right goes bananas.

You end up with Susan lecturing me about my carbon footprint while never comparing it to their own.

Well, to think they've been open, honest, and unbiased makes folks look like the kooks who listen to Rachel Maddow, so it goes both ways really.

To say the least they're a group who live a very privileged life and all-too-often use their movie celebrity to push for things that their distorted lives allow them to think is normal.

Look at Brad and Angelina, normal? No! Doing some good things? Maybe. Madonna? LOL...

I know I'm painting with a very broad brush, but they seem to have a rather large density of eccentric freaks compared to the more normal group in the 'burbs...

All I'm saying is, other than saying they understand, they live a life so distant and detached from reality that their opinions are suspect at best.
