Ware was a cap casualty and therefore not a qualifying player.

Well, not qualifying as to Dallas, but I don't think him being a cap casualty affects what comp picks Denver gets.

It does. Cut players don't count in the compensatory equation, for or against. The Broncos will get more/higher compensatory picks because of that. Same way Pioli played the game, he just sucked more at it.
