Ok these were my impressions of the game and how I think we look so far

That's something so underappreciated about Houston and Hali. Yes, they are elite edge rushers and that's why they make all the $$$. But, they also create more pass rush opportunities by shutting down the run and screen game. They also happen to be far better than Dee in pass coverage, too.

Honestly, I hate to say it, but when I watch Ford I see a 4-3 DE 100%. He's stiff and slow in space. Not sure he can ever be more than a situational guy for us.

That's because you're evaluating him at SOLB. You can say all of those thugs about Hali as well, especially before his transition to 3/4 OLB. He'd be fine at WOLB with Houston on the other side.
