Several names that are listed are not play makers. There are a couple players that should be listed that are not.

So does anyone have a good working theory on whats up with Kelce' lack of targets 5 games in?

I know that spreading it around to keep defenses from keying on one or two guys has been Smiths MO since arriving in KC, but he leaned heavily on Vernon Davis in Frisco

Is Kelce not getting open consistently?

Or maybe defenses have just been working hard to take him away?

Is it just the ebb and flow of the game, with Smith taking who he sees to be open and it will sort itself out as the season progresses?

He has had to help block which has affected the amount of possible targets and it seems like Ware has become Smiths favorite target as well.

Reid needs to fix that asap, this line shouldnt require a star player to stay back and help that often

I've got a fix for that, his name is Anthony Sherman

Missing both starting guards that have been injured except the first game and this last game. It has had an effect on the OL play and on Smiths play.

I still believe Reid could've alleviated much of that pressure with Sherman not Kelce... if I had to pick a second most underutilized guy, it would be Sherman

He needs to be in there blocking MUCH more often, and giving him a dive play on 3rd and short once in a while wouldnt hurt anything either, teams wouldnt see it coming because he NEVER gets a carry

As for Saccs suggestion of more passing targets though, Andy better design some new plays for him... because those screens to Sherman consistently take the short bus to Nowheresville

I'm noticing a trend here.

Here, let me do it ...

"dammit laz, stop bitching about the coaching. The players love Reid and we've gone to the playoff twice"
