I find the excuse that Mahomes has to learn the playbook as bunk. Andy Reid had to change the offense up for Alex Smith what he did in College as a Ute to his best abilities and that includes the shovel pass. So the offense needs to change to the quarterback not the quarterback change to system. Of course Patrick needs to learn the terminology but he has proved to be smart he should have everything down by now.


This offense can open up the playbook with Patrick than it can with Alex Smith. Patrick just has talent that Alex could only dream of.
