I have a dream someday where I won't have to hear those loud obnoxious assholes riding around town. BURRRBBBBB BURRRRBBB BRRRRRBBBBBBRRRRR ROAOROROOOOROR

It's stupid and unecessary. Why you need your bicycle to make such loud noises is beyond me.

I'll take them over the suicide jockeys on their doucherockets any day.

I have a fat boy (and have had several other Harley's over the years). 99% of the people out there don't understand the idea of loud pipes. I have been nearly hit 100 or so times - just minding my own business over the course of 40 or so years riding.

I finally took the hint and put "loud" pipes on my bike. Now, they HEAR me coming...even when they aren't seeing me.

And Bubb Rubb did his whistle pipe for exactly the same reason.

when I had my wreck a year or so ago, the kid that hit me/ran me off said he didn't see or hear me. I joked with my wife "see?....I knew I should've upgraded from my stock exhaust".

but yeah, I get it. my bike is loud and when I'm rolling through a neighborhood or small town I take it easy. There are some bikes that are too loud, and don't even sound good. Straight pipes......I think sound like garbage more often than not. I do like the sound of VH Big Radius pipes on my buds wide glide, however..
