What do you mean what do I mean? Open your ****ing eyes, dude. Our defense sucked absolute dog shit in 2017, and now we're trading away one of the only blue chippers we had on that squad. We waited WAY too long to discipline him for his shit, and now it's biting us firmly in the ass. We most likely aren't even getting compensation worthy of the original pick we took him with, let alone an All Pro CB who won DROY. Peters definitely deserves the flak he's getting, but Reid signed off on bringing him to the team knowing his issues. He completely and utterly failed when it comes down to it. All you had to do was sit his ass for a game after he blew up in week 5, and we likely avoid most of this shitstorm. Instead, Reid and Sutton stood there like a couple of gutless cowards and took it, empowering his reeruned behavior.

It’s just weird that the compensation hasn’t been released yet. The Chiefs PR department is probably working overtime on how they are gonna spin this. I expect about 800 articles to drop on how Peters wasn’t a good fit for the Chiefs going forward. The window licking fans will eat it up and ask for more.

We can argue all we want about if they should have taken peanuts or just kept him and waited.

Reality is this. We are worse now than two days ago. Remains to be seen if we get anything back that can help fix this hole or if we need to use our already limited cap space and low picks to fix this hole. If we do that's less we have to fix the other holes.

What sources do you need? It’s common ****ing sense. If a team is floating a 25-year old star CB out there with known character issues, it’s a major red flag. You don’t trade that guy, ever, without damn good reasoning. He’s going to need a contract extension soon that makes him the highest paid corner in football.

If a team is stupid enough to give us their 1st + more picks, I’ll consider this a win.

That alone, besides the fact that 29 other teams weren't interested in trading for Marcus Peters, should put any notion that the Peters wasn't a headcase to rest.

Football players don't exist in a vacuum. Just because a guy's great on the field don't mean he can't be a headache to manage off the field.
