If you're one of those stone age tribes on Mindanao or in the Amazon, it's fine to just drink water. But if you can get Pibb or Pepper, there's no reason not to do so.

On my freighter journey, I was very excited to finally find a Dr. Pepper when I reached Japan. It was in a vending machine.
