Give it a couple weeks. I've found that chiropractor is a waste of money cause the body healed itself in time anyway.
Load up on fish oil too. If it turns out to be sciatica you are screwed. Little Mexican buddy of mine has that and he's only 100 lbs.

Does anyone here have back pain AND frequent diarrhea? Does one exacerbate the other?

I understand asking for insights, but there are a lot of different types of back pains.
It like asking for advice on why your car doesn't start and somebody offers that they replaced alternator and that solved all the problems. Yup, that might fix it. So I have knocked my spine out of alignment several times. Having a chiropractor pop it back into place works. I didn't have to go two times a week for years. One visit, popped it back in. I have had the lower back sprain of the type that you get from bending over and picking up a heavy object. That mostly just takes time. If the muscles are all tight, heat pads, alcohol (I'm not being snarky), massages, and anti-inflammatories like Naproxen, or prescription muscle relaxants can help. Good posture and strengthening the core muscles can help. And get somebody else to pick up heavy objects and if you can't do that, bend your ****ing knees like you are supposed to. I have had a pinched nerve. For the shooting pains, sciatic nerve condition. You go see a specialist. They take various imaging tests. They scratch their butts and say, yeah, things look a little messed up but that is true of everybody your age. Why don't you give it six months and see if it gets better. We can try surgery but it has as much chance of making it worse as it does of making it better. For degenerative conditions, see shooting pains above. |

Glad you clarified that your 2 detached retinas were not in the same eye socket. That really would have been a medical problem.

So I appreciate the cross-thread humor. But if you have an association between back pain and something like constipation/urinary problems, erectile problems, that is something that freaks the doctors out. Fortunately, I don't know the details, but that is something I have gotten asked every time I have complained to my doctor about back pain/pinched nerves.

Damned if I know exactly what you ought to do. I will suggest that the most important thing you ought NOT do is to begin to take powerful pain killers before you've exhausted all other options. Pain is nothing more than the body's way of asking for a change of conditions. Try all the changes you can try before you just tell your body to shut the hell up and quit complaining.
Good luck.

Get referrals if you go to a chiropractor.
Some of them are miracle workers because they know what NOT to do. A bad visit to an incompetent one can make you worse. Most of them will do stuff to your neck, but since I broke 2 verts in my neck back when I was 14 (well, I mean, actually an abusive adult broke my neck when I was 14) and never had surgery, it's a bit of a mess. DO NOT TOUCH. |
